Medical Ozone Therapies
Ozone's Uses and Health Benefits
What Can Ozone Therapy Help With?

Many patients choose ozone therapy as part of a comprehensive approach to improving their health and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.
It is often used to help people who struggle with chronic fatigue, persistent infections, inflammation, or circulation problems. In integrative medicine, ozone therapy may be included in treatment plans for conditions such as Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, chronic viral infections, autoimmune conditions, and metabolic or immune imbalances.
By helping the body use oxygen more efficiently and supporting immune function, ozone therapy can be a helpful tool for restoring energy, improving resilience, and promoting overall wellness.
Medical Ozone
O2 ---> O3 ---> Healing
Medical ozone therapy is a treatment that uses a carefully controlled blend of oxygen and ozone (a naturally occurring form of oxygen) to support the body’s healing processes.
In integrative and functional medicine, ozone therapy is used to help improve oxygen delivery to tissues, support cellular energy production, and stimulate the body’s natural antioxidant and immune defenses.
Depending on the treatment plan, ozone can be administered in several ways, such as mixing it with a small amount of the patient’s blood (autohemotherapy), adding it to IV therapies, or using localized applications.
When performed with medical-grade equipment and appropriate protocols, ozone therapy is a safe, supportive, and highly effective therapy that helps the body restore balance and function.

The Blood Ozone (MAH) Procedure
Major Autohemotherapy is used in many protocols focused on treating chronic conditions and overall health optimization. Each treatment protocol is carefully created by Lifespan Health's clinicians and the therapies are then performed by Lifespan's highly trained RNs.

Here is how we do it:
BLOOD IS REMOVED
About 200 ml of blood is collected into a sterile bag that contains an anticoagulant.
1
OZONATED OXYGEN IS ADDED
Ozone is created in a specialized ozone generator, utilizing medical-grade oxygen. When a charge is applied the O2 molecules are disrupted and some reform as O3.
2
OZONATED BLOOD IS RE-INFUSED
The newly ozonated blood is gently mixed and then re-infused--the ozone effects have already started.

Questions & Answers
Are ozone therapies covered by insurance?
Unfortunately, ozone procedures are not covered by most health insurance carriers. We are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement, if you would like to try.
How many ozone sessions or treatments will I need?
The answer to this is difficult, since treatment plans are highly individualized. In general, we expect you to feel a positive change after an initial series of treatments (sometimes much better with prolozone). Your initial response will better predict your overall treatment duration.
Are "blood ozone" procedures safe?
IV and injectable ozone therapies are very safe. Your clinician will determine if you have any contraindications to treatment. Above all, at Lifespan Health we offer safe, non-toxic, science-base treatments, chosen for effectiveness.
